Quick fix juicy Ciabatta with Mango Tango Chutney

It is probably an understatement to say that, the sandwich is perhaps the most consumed food product. This article talks about how prevalent it is in the American culture with a billion+ consumed each year. The reason sandwiches are popular is because of the ease of building one quickly with a delicious outcome,  as long as it has usual essential ingredients! Beyond that, it is left to one’s own imagination on other ingredients

I always dream up different sandwiches with different types of breads, cheeses, veggies etc.  I am particularly drawn to baguettes and ciabatta rolls for the richness, flavor and the feeling of a hearty bite.  When made with the right balance of flavors, a sandwich can be transformed to a five-star product that kids n adults can both enjoy. I decided to experiment my sandwich by adding  Zesteez’  Mango Tango Chutney! Given the hint of natural sweetness and spices in the chutney, the resulting combo was a mega-hit. So, let us dive right  into making it;

Ingredients:

  • Ciabatta bread
  • Fresh mozzarella – thinly sliced
  • Fresh Avocado – thinly sliced
  • Fresh lettuce
  • Onion – Thinly sliced
  • Fresh Tomato –  Thinly Sliced
  • Mango Tango Chutney –  3-4 tsp
  • Vegenaise / Mayonnaise – 1 tsp
  • Mustard – 1 tsp
  • Your choice of protein

Process:

  •     Lightly toast the top and bottom halves of ciabatta
  •     Put mayonnaise/vegenaise on lower half
  •     Layer your toppings/protein one by one
  •     Towards the end, add the delish Mango tango chutney
  •     Press in the top half over the assembled sandwich
  •     Use a toothpick to hold the sandwich in place
